Gaining a qualification via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allowed Joe Guivarra to get a better job in Rio Tinto.
Joe was initially unsure that he would be able to meet the requirements; what he found through the process was that it was far more straightforward than he thought.
After gaining qualifications through the traditional classroom style, Joe feels that qualifications gained via RPL have more value to employers because they show that you have applied the skills in the real world.
Gaining the qualifications gave him the confidence that he knew more than he thought he did.
